You can hear so many interesting happenings from the life of cats only in the unique Cat Museum, opened in Šiauliai in 1990. The exposition contains more than 10,000 cats from all over the world: England, America, Canada, Japan, Korea, Cuba, Africa, Belgium and, of course, Lithuania. The cats sit in the most unusual places: in stained glass, staircase handrail ornaments, on lamps and chairs. The cats are all over the place: in souvenirs, postcards, on dishes, postage stamps, books, poems, photos, pieces of art of great artists and folk art. Cats and kittens are made of china, crystal, amber and ceramics.
